Our parish adult choir plays an intregal role in the Sacred Music program at our parish. The choir is made up of volunteers from the parish who sing hymns, the parts of the Mass, anthems, motets, chant, and polyphony for Masses. The purpose of the choir is to elevate the liturgy by both leading the congregation in hymnody and singing centuries of chants and choral works by famous composers such as Bach, Byrd, Handel, Howells, Mozart, Palestrina, Stanford, and Tallis to modern-day composers such as Peloquin, Proulx, Rutter, and Whitbourn. The choir sings every Sunday at the 11:00 Mass from the Sunday after Labor Day to Corpus Christi Sunday as well as Feast Days, Solemnities, Triduums, and special events throughout the year. During the Summer months outside of parish Feasts and occasions, a "Summer Choir" made up of volunteers accompanies the cantor at the 11:00 Mass. Rehearsals run every Thursday from 7:30PM to 9PM in the Church. All are welcome to join the choir and no prior experience is required. Singers will be trained in basic musicianship and will gain necessary musical skills while participating in the choir.
